too much control, when is it not enough?

so far at my job, the following has happened:
i'm not allowed to eat chili because my coworker, who's bff with the owner, think it smells too strong
i'm not allowed to use hand cream (for the same reason)
i'm not allowed to have my phone ringer on because it's too loud
i was told to change my picture on a social media site because it wasn't professional enough

should i be weirded out?

the audacity of some people

so whenever i want to get rid of stuff, i post it up as free if it isn't worth much. without fail, a few people will respond that they're interested but can i meet them 'here' instead.

I AM GIVING YOU SOMETHING FOR FREE. YOU WILL PICK IT UP WHERE I WANT, i won't hand deliver it to your house. i just don't understand.
