music snobbery
i've never considered myself a music snob before - i know there are shit tons of people out there who are like music encyclopedias. but i felt my vag shrivel the other day as someone who claimed he was super into music proceeded to ask me, "do you know strokes?" and followed by listing the big ny bands from 2001. um, yeah, i know strokes. people with a collegiate knowledge of music (modest mouse, built to spill, etc) shouldn't call themselves musicheads. thanks and goodbye.

Do you know Interpol though?
It should be "Do you know THE Interpol?"
The key to being a music snob is whenever anyone asks you if you like a particular band, just say, "I did before they sold out" - even if they only have one album
