the night of reality tv stars

last night, i tried to go to what was supposed to be a good indie night. however, when we got there, we saw a massive crowd trying to get in. normally, when i see a crowd and a velvet rope, i leave immediately and go somewhere less sceney. but for some reason, we stayed last night and tried to get in for awhile. the crowd scared me. these were people who go to swishy places, and waiting to get in was nothing new to them. there was this bizarre desperation to get in. behold a crowd, inside must be great, we must get in or die trying! i heard eurotrash accents, long island accents, lots of for a lack of better words, posers. obnoxious preppies shoved their way self-importantly to the front, only to be told they were rude and not getting in. (ohmygod! but his collar is popped at the exact right angle!) sprinkled throughout the crowd were indie types who looked as baffled as we felt by the rush of people. why the fuck were these asstards invading our night? a pit of nausea spread from my stomach and i got over it pretty quick. as we stood around trying to decide where to go, daniel v sauntered past. daniel v! i ADORE daniel v! that kind of made the ridiculousness worth it.

we found our way to a less obnoxious place and molly sue from next top model cycle who knows what sat next to us. it was somewhat funny.
